War Eagle Cavern

21494 Cavern Road
Rogers, AR 72756

You will find an amazing experience just a short distance from Eureka Springs: take Highway 23 south of Eureka Springs, turn right (west) on Hwy 12 and follow the signs!

You will see the cavern through a 60-minute, one-mile, guided walking tour. Strollers and well-behaved dogs on a leash are welcome! The tour follows a wide, easy walkway beside a stream flowing throughout the cavern. Above ground, the property has hiking trails and picnic and play areas for children.

We are situateded in a box canyon at the end of Devil’s Gap and by Beaver Lake. The cavern is about 250 million years old and located in a forest of the Ozark Mountains. It was used by Indians for hundreds of years before the first settlers arrived, and the name ‘War Eagle’ dates back to surveyor maps used for the Louisiana Purchase!

We are open daily 9:30-5 (Sundays 12-5), early-March through Thanksgiving. Our 2017 season will open March 4th. Our private cove to the cavern can be reached by boat from Beaver Lake; just check our web site.

Entrance fee:
Adults $15.98
Kids 4 - 11 $9.00
3 and under- free

Group rates (10 or more persons, by reservation only) and school packages are available

A special activity that is exciting but not for everyone is the Spelunker Tour that begins where the public tour ends! This is where you see what everyone else misses, the undeveloped part of the cavern that is NOT on public tour! It takes at least 3 hours and a sense of adventure, a group of 4 or more persons, and reservations, beginning in mid-July. You will find great spelunking photos and detailed requirements on our web site.
